Score!

I went with my parents and grandparents to neighborhood garage sales last Friday, and found the usual stuff (books and old Tupperware) and then I found the best thing ever... for me at least!

I am makeup challenged... Meaning I have no idea what colors would look good for me and I hate spending money on makeup in general, let alone something that turns out to be all wrong for me. Enter my garage sale find....
One of the sales was at a former Mary Kay rep's garage. She was selling off her bag that was LOADED with samples. Hooray for me! I spent a whopping $8 and got the bag which is very nice and worth the $8 on it's own... big enough for 12x12 scrap booking stuff with lots of little clear pouches that Velcro into the drop-down side of the bag. Included in the bag was LOADS of samples of eye shadows, eye liners, lip liners, lipsticks, foundation, blush, cleansers, lotions, perfume, brow pencils (in my shade only, bonus!), and some "get the look" cards with samples attached.

Now I can experiment with colors and not make a huge cash investment. I'm looking forward to trying some out! Today I went with a purple eye shadow duo, violet eyeliner, a pinkish blush whose name I can't recall at the moment, and pink shimmer lipstick (which I didn't think I'd like and I love the color on me!)....

I'm going to have some fun! The catalogs that were included were from 2009 and before, so these samples have been around for a while... Not sure about trying the foundations because of that, I will have to find out if they will be okay or should be tossed. They're all sealed but need a little squishing around to remix them. Leave a comment if you know the answer!
