Happy Holidays!!

That's right, I said it. Happy Holidays! Why? Don't I believe in Christmas? Why does saying Happy Holidays seem to make people think you're anti-Christian or trying to be "politically correct?" Why can't it simply be an inclusive greeting?

There are more holidays being celebrated during this season than just Christmas. Not everyone out shopping is doing Christmas shopping. Instead of becoming irate and ranting about people saying happy holidays, why not practice the Christian belief of turning the other cheek?

Books!

Way back in August I made a promise not to buy any more books for the rest of the year. The boys and I agreed that any books that were free didn't count against me, I just couldn't BUY a new book. The hope was that I would read the mound of books I own but haven't touched yet.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY RJ!!! I can't believe this intelligent, sensitive, sarcastic, and completely unique young man is no longer a teen... But he'll always be my baby boy too, no escaping that! A new decade begins, can't wait to see what unfolds for him....

Updates...

Nate turns 18 in two days. I can't believe my baby will be 18!! The only thing more unbelievable is that in 15 days RJ will be 20 and a Junior in college... Where did the time go?

As a kickoff to this monumental month, we went on vacation to the UP. Six days camped outside of Manistique Michigan, at Indian Lake State Park. We had a wonderful time, with day trips to some of our favorite places and evenings around the campfire together.

Wow.

Yup, that's about all I can say, Wow. I haven't posted in quite a while, so thanks to those of you that keep checking in to see what's up with me.

Now I'll explain that wow. I recently decided to give online dating another shot. My dating life has been somewhat lacking, and I'd like to remedy that. Within an hour of posting my profile to a site, I had a message from a man that was interested in meeting me. This was on Friday. I stupidly gave him my cell number and told him to call me Monday, as I was working the weekend.

He called me 5 times that night, and sent me two text messages. I caved, I met him for drinks that night. People, all I can say is that if you ever meet someone and within the first hour they are planning your future together, RUN. Run as fast as you can and DO NOT LOOK BACK!!!
