Back to a book review, though I'm not through with the book yet. The Dalai Lama's book "The Universe in a Single Atom" is an excellent read, filled with a lot of scientific and spiritual information. Once I made it through the chapter with quantum physics it's been going much faster for me.Still lots of philosophy, which I have some trouble with, but the analogies and similes make it much easier to understand the principles behind the theories.
This chapter however, I am having trouble concentrating on. Seems kind of telling, since the chapter deals with the application of attention! I have two more chapters after this one, then I have to decide what to read next. I had a stack lined up already, then my mom & dad came home and gave me two more, and then I went to a white elephant sale with my parents and grandparents and found 5 more (two were on my wish list already, yay!).
As you can see, it's a varied list to select from. Add to that the stack I already had on hand and it's 15 choices. When my son gets home from college he has another that I'd like to read, titled "Quiet" about the role of introverted people in society now and in the future. So many choices! Oh, and there's the one I loaned out before I read it myself about how artists discovered neuroscience before scientists did... I may put the titles on slips of paper and draw from a hat to decide!
